1 April 2007. ArcSight Releases ESM 4.0 and new threat control packages.

ArcSight has released a range of new compliance packages with its 4.0 ESM
product. Complimenting the logger appliance range, the security governance
packages for insider threat and Payment Card Industry (PCI) provide rapid
deployment and immediate results in large environments.

26 April 2007. Type80 expands z/OS Host Intrusion Detection Capabilities.

Type80 Security Software, the only flexible, real-time audit event log
system for z/OS, has expanded the capabilities to include enhanced support
for custom applications and databases. The rules based processing can
integrate with virtually any security monitoring application to allow
mainframe application security to be brought into the security domain. A
light version of the solution, which handles WTO and console messages only
(no SMF), is also available now at a remarkably simple and cost effective
package that can be used to bring a mainframe partition under the security
governance umbrella very quickly.
